Event Coordination, Web Coverage and Hosting
Gyroscope president John J. Thompson has been on staff at the influential Cornerstone
Festival since 2001. He recently coordinated and stage managed a massive Main
Stage Birthday Bash honoring the festival's 20th birthday. Sixteen artists on
three sub-stages, with originally produced video segments on the massive video
wall, and it was all completed ahead of schedule! Industry veteran Steve Taylor,
who was talked out of retirement to appear at the Bash, was surprised at the
efficiency and professionalism of the event. "You should run the Grammies
or the Dove Awards," he proclaimed. Well, you never know...
Thompson has been a stage host at The Gallery Stage since helping to launch the venue in 1991. Between 1995 and 1998 Thompson hosted hundreds of concerts at the Upstairs at True Tunes concert venue in Wheaton Illinois. He is available as a speaker and host, or as a stage manager, for events anywhere.
Thompson also assembled a team of photographers, writers and videographers to capture the events of the Cornerstone Festival and bring them to millions via CornerstoneFestival.com. The "Coverage Team" actually started when Thompson was still with True Tunes, but really blossomed once he officially joined the Cornerstone staff.
